1 Day PhotoPills and Astrophotography Bootcamp in Bar Harbor, Maine – October 13, 2018
Join Adam Woodworth and Rafael Pons (The Bard of PhotoPills) for a full day of learning and adventure. Get ready to learn how to plan, shoot and post process any Milky Way photo you can imagine. You’ll also learn how to plan all your Sun and Moon shots (and much more). After the theory class, we’ll enjoy photographing the sunset, followed by the Milky Way with Moonset. (The moon will be at 25% and visible until 9pm, but will make for some interesting Milky Way photos!) Note: The Milky Way images on this page are examples of shots from Acadia, but not all will be possible in October with the angle of the Milky Way that late in the season.

This 1 day class will cover planning night and daytime landscape photographs with the PhotoPills app (available for iOS and Android), shooting techniques for the Milky Way, and post-processing examples of Milky Way photos. After the class there is an optional meet-up in Acadia National Park, right next to Bar Harbor, for sunset and night photography. We will have a catered lunch of assorted sandwiches.
The class will be presented in a lecture style of presentations and software demos.
This workshop is held on October 13th, which should be right around peak fall color in Acadia. I highly recommend staying for a few days to photograph the fall colors!
NOTE: The Milky Way images on this page are examples of shots from Acadia, but not all will be possible in October with the angle of the Milky Way that late in the season.
